I thought this was a great novelty gift. I purchased for my hard-to-buy-for husband who is quite the movie buff. He has already seen about half, but seemed to find a good deal of satisfaction in being able to immediately scratch some off. He is now up for the challenge to see those that still remain. The list of movies is obviously quite subjective. I think it covers a lot of the common "must see" ones, but there also seem to be some more obscure ones on it. I will note that some blocks cover more than 1 movie (like Star Wars - multiple movies go into one scratch-off block). I think this is OK, but it does mean that there are over 100 movies referenced by the poster. The poster material is very heavy-duty cardstock. It is so thick, in fact, that regular Scotch tape did not work for us in holding it up. It definitely does not feel cheap! The movies, starting at the top and going left to right:1. Even though he's seen a lot of the movies on the poster, he's excited to rewatch them and be able to scratch the pictures. We've already watched one movie and it scratched off very easily with light pressure from a quarter. Can't wait to see how long it takes to get it completed!Ordered a few to give as gifts for some family that haven't seen a wide variety of movies. All of them came in great condition. There was a piece of paper rolled with the poster in each box to keep them from getting scratched. I couldn't find a list before buying so here's what's on the poster:--Shawshank RedemptionThe Dark KnightCity of GodPulp FictionAmelie12 Angry MenBlade RunnerA Clockwork OrangeThe Deer HunterCasablanca--E.T.UpThe Rocky Horror Picture ShowThe Big LebowskiOffice SpaceFight ClubSnatchOld BoyLeon: The ProfessionalScarface--Raiders of the Lost ArkThe Lord of the Rings (Trilogy)MoonlightThe MatrixApocalypse NowThe Grand BudapestMonty Python's Life of BrianIn Bruges3 IdiotsThe Godfather--The NotebookThe Lion KingStand By MeDirty DancingJurassic Park2001: A Space OdysseyThe GooniesWall-EGroundhog DayStar Wars Episodes IV, V, VI--Schindler's ListBreakfast At Tiffany'sShaun of the DeadBack to the FutureForrest GumpThe Silence of the LambsThe ShiningAlienMementoSe7en--HalloweenJawsThe Evil DeadAirplane!Mean GirlsLawrence of ArabiaDriveCasino RoyaleGhostbustersRosemary's Baby---Mary & MaxThe TerminatorThe Green MileRockyThis is Spinal TapAmerican PsychoCitizen KaneThe IntouchablesAmerican History XSeven Samurai--GladiatorThe Good, the Bad and the UglyBrokeback MountainThe Great DictatorToy StoryThe PrestigeTitanicHerBoyz n the HoodFour Weddings and a Funeral--Little Miss SunshineTrainspottingThe DepartedSaving Private RyanNo Country for Old MenThe PianistDr. StrangeloveLagaanBaahubaliPsycho--VertigoThe Truman ShowReservoir DogsAmadeusEnter the DragonThe Wizard of OzGangs of New YorkThe Usual SuspectsSpirited AwayGood Will HuntingIf it wasn't for how hard it is to get the silver coating off of the covers I think this product would be amazing. However, because the whole point is to uncover the squares and be able to ultimately hang up the poster it's quite unfortunate what taking off the coating does to the poster and the pictures underneath. For example, I first took off the spirited away cover with a coin and as you can see in the photo it was very much ripped, I was not rough with taking the coating off and tried my best to be careful with everything. In the end I had to use nail polish remover to get the rest of that square uncovered and had to tape it up. It just looks unseemly. I used the nail polish technique to start the next two I uncovered, however you won't get very far just using the nail polish and will eventually have to use a coin or other object. Thankfully, the acetone softens the silver material and makes it easier to scratch it off. It does takes some time to do this so I don't know how I feel about having to take down the poster to update it every time I watch a movie. Even after getting the silver completely off of the WALL-E and toy story ones they still look dull and scratched from the coin. I think I would much prefer something to peel if it means I would be preserving the image beneath the title. GrazieBought this for my partner's birthday and we're both really disappointed. The film selection is amazing. But the foil panels are terrible. They are impossible to scratch. If you manage to remove the foil you are likely to take the image away from the poster.I bought this a gift (luckily not for anyone in the household as they would have seen what it was!) and I am shocked by the condition in which it has arrived. Bashed and squashed on all sides and torn on the ends.I'm not exactly suprised as it wasnt in any other packaging to protect it, and because of that the delivery label has been placed over the box....not exactly great when presenting it as a gift. Very unhappy!Bought this as a gift for my other half. Thought it would be fun to watch the 100 films together. This is a good idea in theory however the silver scratch panels on the poster are rubbish. They're not like the silver scratch panels you get on scratch cards, it seems to be a harder wearing material and you really need to scratch hard to get it off, thus ruining the poster in the process. Plus it turned out between us we'd actually seen pretty much all of the films listed on the poster anyway. Waste of money. Better off making your own list as the novelty factor (the scratch part) ruins the poster completely.Excellent selection of films but the foil doesn’t scratch off we’ve tried a selection of coins and keys and it barely comes off and round the poster. Only by reading the q&a did I find out that nail varnish remover removes the foilReally disappointed daughter and mam on Christmas DayI would have returned this but I bought early for Christmas
