This is my go to when watching movies! Ticks all the boxes! One important feature I've found out, is that once find a good setting for color, contrast, brightness, you don't have to change it when watching different content. Something that I have found out you have to do with other projectors. It is plenty bright with just one laser. I had purchased a Casiris A6, but ha dto return it because I just couldn't get rid of a blue haze the projector had. Once I got the settings perfect for what I was watching, whenever changing to something else, I had to readjust the settings all over again, found that very frustrating and annoying. I've set all the settings for this VAVA on initial setup, and haven't touched them since! I love that! The pictures are on a non ALR/CLR screen. So I took pics with no lights, some with the kitchen lights (bright enough to cast light in the living room), full overhead lights, and lights dimmed, so not at all dark. And it still looks great! Except in full lighting. I bought an XGIMI AURA, which is also a single laser projector, and the brightness is great, but that thing is massive compared to the VAVA. I might give the XGIMI away, or return it and get another VAVA! I'll try it for a couple of more days. For the price, you can't beat it!! I'm more than pleased with the VAVA, and super happy with it!!I'm just not sold on ALR/CLR screens. Especially if they're permanent, it's just not an option for me. $1k or more, and you can't retract into the ceiling?! So any UST projector that can look this good on a regular motorized screen, is a win! Like I said, it's not even a special light rejecting screen!I have the sound routed through my ONKYO receiver, because i like to feel like I'm at the movies when I'm watching a movie at home. But the Harmon Kardon speakers are plenty loud and actually sound like a sound bar. So that is a plus as well.If you can set it up in a light controlled environment, then you won't be disappointed. I can only imagine how much better this projector's picture would look like if it was a ALR/CLR screen. I'm also happy that it has 8 point keystone correction. Now when you set it up, the best thing is not to use keystone correction, as I've read and found out. But I'm glad that it does have it because it makes it less frustrating dialing it in just right. My screen is 125" but I have no doubt that it can do 150" without any problems! It's amazing how those 25" can make a HUGE difference. L i t t e r a l l y! The screen I have in my bedroom is 100" and this one in my living room looks huge compared to the one in the bedroom. Thank you VAVA! I think I'm gonna pick another one up.This is one of 4 brand projectors, and along with the JMGO PRO, it has been one of the easiest to deal with straight outta the box! Not a lot of tweaking needed!
